Students

6th-12th Grade | Next Gen Ministry

Welcome to Shalimar Students, where we’re dedicated to connecting young hearts and inspiring meaningful change in the lives of students. Through worship, small groups, and powerful experiences, our student ministry provides a safe and encouraging space for students in grades 6-12 to grow in their faith, ask tough questions, and discover what it means to live a life that honors God. Whether you’re just exploring faith or looking to deepen your relationship with Jesus, Shalimar Students is a place for you!

Teaching students to live a life that makes a difference.

Our student ministry is more than just a program; it’s a community where young people can be themselves, feel valued, and discover a faith that’s real. At Shalimar Students, we believe in creating a comfortable space where students can ask questions, seek answers, and see everyday faith in action. Through the support of peers and trusted adult leaders, students experience the love of Jesus and learn what it means to live a life that makes a difference.

This ministry exists to reach students, connect them with a loving church community, help them grow their faith, and inspire them to honor God in their lives. It’s a place to find purpose, hope, and a foundation for life.

Weekly Gatherings

Sunday Mornings

Freedom Worship & Sunday School

  • 9:30 am – Freedom Worship Service
Join us for a unique worship experience where students have the opportunity to lead and engage in meaningful ways. This service has a long history of student involvement and is a place to worship freely and passionately.
  • 11:00 am – Sunday School
Following the Freedom Worship Service, students gather in the youth room to dive deeper into the day’s Scripture passage and sermon. It’s a time for open discussion, reflection, and connecting with peers over the truths of God’s Word.

Sunday Evenings

Student Choir & Worship & Word

  • 4:00 pm – Student Choir
The Student Choir at Shalimar Church is more than just music; it’s a ministry of leadership and outreach. Through performances at events like the Dinner Theater, Christmas Service, and the Summer Mission Tour, students share their faith and serve others through music.
  • 5:00 pm – Worship & Word
Sunday evenings kick off with a snack supper and games in the Family Life Center, followed by a time of worship and a relevant message. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space for students to connect with each other and dive deeper into God’s Word.

Wednesday Evenings

Small Groups

  • 5:00 pm – Dinner & Small Groups
On Wednesday evenings, we start with a shared meal in the Family Life Center. After dinner, students head to the youth room for games, a main lesson, and then break into small groups for discussion and personal growth. These groups offer a supportive setting for students to build strong friendships and ask questions about faith and life.
